Logistics planning and complete waste collection records

At Apptive, we specialize in developing modern software solutions that help companies automate, streamline and digitize their key processes. One example of successful cooperation is our project for EFG Waste logistic s.r.o., a company engaged in waste management logistics. The goal was to create a comprehensive system that would reflect the specific needs of waste logistics - from placing orders to planning collection routes to exporting data for invoicing and integrating with other tools.

The basis of the delivered solution is a web application that runs in the cloud environment and forms the core of this digital infrastructure. The application allows clients to enter their orders for waste collection, register vehicles, drivers and individual types of waste containers. To ensure maximum efficiency and trouble-free operation, the entire system is connected to other specialized tools, such as WiniX, which is an information system used by companies in the field of waste management.

Planning collection routes

A key function of the system is the automatic generation of collection routes. Thanks to this, planning of collections has been significantly simplified, and dispatchers no longer have to solve them manually - the application will propose the most optimal route based on orders, available vehicles and locations of individual clients. This functionality not only brings the client significant time savings, but also a real reduction in vehicle and personnel operating costs.

The system also includes detailed records of all collections carried out. A so-called collection sheet is created for each collection, which contains information about where, when and what kind of waste was collected. These records serve not only as an overview for internal purposes, but also as a basis for invoicing customers.

Mobile application for drivers

The second, no less important part of the solution is the mobile application for drivers, which ensures a direct connection between field operations and the central system. Each driver has a smartphone with our application, which shows him the specific waste collection route assigned by the system every day. The application has integrated navigation, which reliably guides the driver along the entire route and shows him individual collection points. At each stop, the driver has the opportunity to record data on the number and weight of containers, take photo documentation and have the collection sheet confirmed by the client's electronic signature. This data is then automatically transferred to the cloud system, where it completes the overall picture of the operation and serves as a basis for invoicing and performance evaluation.

The entire solution represents a major step towards the digital transformation of EFG Waste logistic. It not only automates complex logistics processes and reduces administrative burdens, but above all provides management and field staff with tools that make their daily work easier. The result is a better overview of operations, faster response to changes and cost optimization across the entire organization.

This case study is proof that a software solution tailored to the client’s real needs can have a direct impact on efficiency, costs and customer satisfaction. And that’s what we at Apptive are all about – creating digital tools that make sense and deliver results.
