At Workpress Aviation s.r.o. we carried out the complete delivery and installation of our MES system for production monitoring, operational data collection and efficiency evaluation. The aim of the project was to increase the overview of production processes, streamline data work and support decision-making based on accurate operational information.

Machine and compressor monitoring
Our solution covers the monitoring of 23 CNC machines in the machining shop, where the system automatically records operating states – i.e. when the machine is producing and when it is idle. This data serves as the basis for calculating key performance indicators, especially OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and enables a detailed analysis of production losses. The solution also includes measuring the electricity consumption of each machine. Thanks to this, the client has the opportunity to identify energy-intensive equipment and look for specific opportunities to reduce costs.
In addition, the system also includes compressor monitoring, where we monitor operating temperatures, current consumption and fault indications. In the event of a deviation or defect, a notification mechanism is automatically triggered, which notifies the responsible persons via email or SMS. This allows for timely interventions and minimization of equipment downtime.

Reporting terminals and visualization
A key part of the implementation was also the deployment of touch-screen reporting terminals at each machine. Workers on these terminals simply record what they are currently working on – whether they are producing, adjusting the machine or whether there have been downtimes. This data is then automatically matched with information about the operation of the machines, creating a comprehensive picture of the use of equipment and human capacities. The client thus gains the opportunity to monitor not only the performance of the technologies, but also the efficiency of the work of individual workers or shifts.
The project also included the deployment of visualization screens directly in the production hall, which display information about current downtimes and their duration in real time. This function significantly contributes to visual management in production, supports supervision of operations and allows foremen to quickly respond to problems that arise.
All data is collected in real time into a web application that offers a clear interface for monitoring and analyzing production. Users can view the operating history of machines, analyze downtime, compare shifts, or evaluate the efficiency of individual teams. There is also an analytical module for monitoring energy consumption and a view focused on downtime, which can be filtered by workers, shifts, or specific devices.
The entire delivery was implemented as a “turnkey” project – from solution design, through sensor and electrical installation, to terminal assembly and personnel training. The result is a fully functional system that is integrated into operations and brings immediate added value.
By implementing our MES system, Workpress Aviation s.r.o. gained an effective tool for production monitoring, a detailed overview of operating data, and a platform for systematic process optimization and cost savings.
